This policy explains how Photon Tutoring LLC handles information from families, students, tutors, applicants, and website visitors.

Information we collect

Account and contact details; student names, grade levels, learning goals, session notes, homework, schedules, and progress; tutor profile and availability information; payment status and limited card details supplied by our payment provider; messages, uploaded files, support requests, device information, and consent preferences.

How we use it

To provide and improve tutoring, match tutors and students, operate portals, schedule sessions, process payments and refunds, communicate service updates, prevent fraud and misuse, maintain safety, comply with law, and: only with consent where required, understand website usage.

Sharing

We share only what is needed with assigned tutors, authorized family members, payment and communications providers, hosting and database providers, and professional or legal advisers. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and local storage

Essential storage keeps accounts signed in and remembers required settings. Optional analytics is disabled unless you accept it through the cookie preferences control. You can reopen that control from the footer.

Security and retention

We use access controls, encrypted transport, private family routes, and role-based database rules. No system is perfectly secure. We retain information while needed for tutoring, accounting, safety, dispute resolution, and legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it when appropriate.

Children and family access

A parent or authorized guardian should create and manage a minor student’s account relationship. Parents can request corrections or access concerning their household. Co-parent access should only be invited for an authorized adult.

Your choices

You may update account details, communication preferences, and cookie choices. You may request access, correction, or deletion where applicable, subject to legal and operational retention requirements.
